GAME DEVELOPER LOOKING FOR HELP - (Has to do with video formats - Microsoft Community

alright.

to make long story short, i'm wanting develop game.

i've been reading night royalty fees pertaining  using mp4 video formats , mp3 audio formats in commercial use.

you see, i'm lost on whole 'codec' , 'container' thing. i've checked out ogg video formats, find quality

horrendous. i've looked , looked, can't find on using wma files sound, , wmv and/or avi files video?
reason why i'm asking because need game trailers , in-game cutscenes.

i plan on selling game, why i'm asking this.

if has answers, please let me know.
