In what programs or apps should Spell Check work?

works me in universal apps, ie, edge

doesn't work me in desktop program i've tried

e.g. wordpad, notepad, docpad, writer (kingsoft office - native spell check off).

in tenforums, tutorial there states should work in situations, although clarification excludes notepad, example.

same me other user accounts.

may ask simple question:
