since updating version 1703 build 16215.1000 cant update anything. unable run trouble shooter either. 

i5 3570k

16gb ram

120gb ssd 1tb storage. there plenty of room on ssd c drive.

thanks or guidance. 

try running sfc /scannow and see if shows issues or fixes anything.

then administrator command prompt:

cleanmgr /sageset <-- select options

cleanmgr /sagerun <-- deletes files preselected above

then see if windows update troubleshooter works settings app.

if doesn't fix things, might need reset. use shift-restart boot menu , find reset. need reinstall apps, can keep data.

or can clean install of windows, after using storage options move data 1tb disk.
