Formula that counts duplicate values in specific column - Microsoft Community

i need formula  will  show total # of projects per customer (text) 1 column , in separate box how many different branchces supporting customer.

for example:

i want show generic company has 2 different project supported 4 locations in dashboard.

customer:	generic inc			today's date	jobstarts	total #	# projects	# branches
address:				thu,19-jan	0	0		1
updated:
project	po#	branch	employee #	last name	first name	zip code	order number	position
a		1
b		2
b		3
b		4

access database question?    data displayed not contents of access table.
