Remote Desktop host does not allow host PC to sleep - Microsoft Community

as of build 15063.13 , 16170, once client connects host via rdp, host not sleep if rdp session subsequently terminated.  after terminated rdp session, powercfg - requests shows following:

##########################

microsoft windows [version 10.0.15063]
(c) 2017 microsoft corporation. rights reserved.

c:\windows\system32>powercfg -requests
display:
none.

system:
none.

awaymode:
none.

execution:
[service] \device\harddiskvolume2\windows\system32\svchost.exe (termservice)
remote desktop services power request

perfboost:
none.

activelockscreen:
none.

c:\windows\system32>

###############################

terminating remote desktop service clears powercfg request , machine sleep.  it sleep if there has not been rdp connection in current session (since boot).

i use rdp , not issue anniversary update.  it issue both 16170 (insider preview) , current version of creators update 15063.13.  it may issue older insider builds reverted anniversary build on machine rdp time ago can't when issue first appeared.

any workarounds?

paul

i ran problem today.   solution found is:

powercfg /requestsoverride service termservice execution

the system sleeps now.
