Lumia 950 v. MetroPCS 4G/LTE - Microsoft Community

howdy!

i changed phone lumia 650 lumia 950 on metropcs.  old 650 worked , getting full lte coverage. 

my 950 showing 4g, 3g, & 2g on sim info drop down menu - no lte.  i'm using same sim.   on notification/status bar, i'm getting 4g , 4g+.

i've called m-pcs , restarted internet service.  i'm getting same result after refresh.

i've ready somewhere the "4g" icon means i'm connecting hspa/+/lte. 

i did speed tests. i've hit 35mbits down @ work. think i've hit higher old 650.  browsing experience 650 seems "snappier" 950 i'm still proving this..

anyway, advise, info appreciated.

4g lte show name in full nicknamed 4g or lte

if have set in mobile. + sim highest connection speed 4g either of nicknamed icons displayed in phone

the icon displayed snapshot / speedometer of network transmitting at, speed test measuring network speed , not phone.

i have not heard of 4g+ (plus)

here icons should see on phone.

re 4g+ popping next signal meter.  i've never seen that, either.  i'm assuming it's connecting @ hspa+... 

battery pull  switch off remove battery wait 2 minutes battery in switch on

soft reset  press & hold both power& volume down until phone switches off release

the 950 showing incorrect display!! a wild untameable guess  say 4g on h+ 4g+ plus  still illuminated 

fyi google it , uk usa networks marketed hsdpa faster 3g 4g!

in uk 3g standard ,  premium tarriff paid 4g,

4g customers supplied new sim card, prevent 3g let's call them 3g c heats could not change phones apn , 4g speeds

so yes distinguish 4g 4g lte, have lte ( no such confusion in uk pre or post brexit)  take notice of  windows phone software version 8.0.10501.127 or later.

finally if metropcs saying lte, lte!!!
