Not seeing all individual sync settings on Lumia 640 - Microsoft Community

hey, everybody!

i cleaned out bookmarks in edge , take advantage of windows 10 sync capabilities these bookmarks on phone. specifically, sync between surface pro 4 , lumia 640, both running windows 10.0.15063.29(6/7), using longstanding microsoft account.

however, i'm not able this... believe because when go individual sync settings menu (under settings > accounts > sync settings), i'm not getting same options on phone getting on laptop.

the lumia shows options enable passwords , themes syncing, while surface shows options enable internet explorer settings, language preferences, ease of access & other windows settings.

does know whether why can't bookmarks sync?

and if so, there way these sync options visible on lumia?

just 1 little curiosity: appear have bookmarks on phone, appear same ones i've have had @ 1 point or on laptop (seemed outdated list, stuff bookmarked on laptop). never in life bookmarked website on phone...

so appears devices once had capability sync these settings disappeared...

tl;dr: getting option sync themes , passwords on lumia 640 (settings > accounts > sync settings > individual sync settings). other sync options see on surface pro 4: internet explorer settings, language preferences, ease of access & other windows settings.

update: ran the microsoft account troubleshooter.

after running gave following message (and warning checking internet connection, fine):

"can't connect sync service"

after clicking next:

"turn on sync individual settings. following settings have sync turned off: installed apps".

then secondary scan started, gave following info.

"the troubleshoter made changes system. try attempting task trying before."

"problems found:

• can't connect sync service
• rootcauses found , created logs
• some settings have sync turned off"

seems problem may account-related , not device-related, still not closer finding solution...

any help?
