Create Site doesn't create a team site. - Microsoft Community

this confusing user:

on o365, says "create site" on sharepoint page. when click it, allows create a group (so confuses users) , says "let's create a team site , group". doesn't. creates group. no team. ugh hard explain users!!!

as description in sharepoint admin center settings, if choose site office 365 group or classic site in site creation, allow users create sites if don’t have permission create groups. means if user don’t have permission create group, create classic site. while if have group permission create groups, sharepoint create group site default.

 

if choose a site office 365 group, show “create site” command users have permission create groups.
