this not helpful @ ! have brand new lap top windows 10 installed  , internet explorer has stopped working or long running script keeps popping , computer frezzies or goes slow , touch pad scroll stops working ! annoying , need technical ! have tried , tried , tried rid problem no avail ! once again state computer brand new ! , has mcaffee security installed , told me contact microsoft not there problem . please !

actually, if you're seeing "long running script" message on site or two, there long running script on page. options hit "stop script" button or place site in restricted sites (which might break desired features on page)

if you're seeing message on many sites, add-on causing it. advice posted here nachappa c k  should find , disable troublesome add-on.  

an add-on might causing scroll problem. should troubleshoot add-ons.

* note: google toolbar causes script problems on systems. if toolbar installed, try disabling it.
