What motivates you to engage and answer questions in Microsoft - Microsoft Community

this question geared towards mvps, users mcc badge, or other highly active contributors-- i'm curious understand draws community , motivates answer questions? inspires keep providing high quality replies?

are there other benefits/incentives outside of reputation badges motivate engage more? (i.e. more community meetups, monetary or tangible rewards, etc).
