Windows phone 830 gps not working - Microsoft Community

wife , both using nokia lumia 830 phone. ever since our phones updated 8.1 windows 10 , gps stopped working right after. waited patiently next update thinking short term glitch os, , have had numerous updates big & small along way no change in particular situation. windows map load, caiculate route & not able carry on navigation because of no gps signal.  i tried downloading gps app store no avail; no gps signal says. have tried hard reset & still no change. location service every app on phone has been set on time being. ideas?

we suggest use the windows device recovery tool. start downloading , installing windows device recovery tool (for windows 10, 8.x , 7).

when installation has finished, start application , main screen appear:

the procedure restore phone using windows device recovery tool follows:

1. connect the phone pc (using usb cable came phone).
2. after few seconds, pc should find phone , you'll see phone selection screen. click phone in screen select it.
3. after few seconds more, latest available firmware version device shown. click 'install software'/'reinstall software' button flash phone

windows device recovery tool download , install latest firmware + os available phone

note! your phone reset factory status when using tool.
