can charge ordinary micro usb cable usb-c
first of all, there ton of out-of-spec a-to-c cables , adapters out there, wouldn't buy generic.
secondly, in-spec microusb a-to-c adapter, there's issues data. work fine charge (slower native c charger of course), windows (8.1) either gives error device isn't recognized, or port requires more power device can give. cable included device doesn't that.
but third , finally, native usb-c charger can deliver 3a of power, adapter you're limited slower charging speeds (officially 1.5a, 2a)
