No History in IE11 - Microsoft Community

i have tried suggested on various forums, nothing works (with ie 11). no history, although didn't have problem until appeared--and don't know when , have no idea why. temporary list of websites retained in search box, , drops down, when hit ctrl h, nothing there--and has been situation months.  have checked of settings , been online twice geek squad, plus 1 visit in person best buy.  unable fix it.

internet options> general tab> browsing history> delete browsing history on exit not checked, right?
