Opening an EXE from Internet Explorer - Microsoft Community


i trying open local application launched remote citrix server.  local application interfaces application on citrix server.  example:

" \\client\c$\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe"  url=https:\\server.com\application.exe

i want know if there way bypass ie popup of "what want download?"  want default run , have client never see the transition.

i know dangerous exe, hoping somehow lock down enable ip range or similar security in local registry.

i hope description makes sense.
