Phantom RSS option in Windows - Microsoft Community


when type rss in windows finder or whatever called, windows shows me following option best match:

  • tell if rss feed available on website

when open suggestion, window internet properties, content.  there no such option there.

what going on?

to turn on rss feed discovery in ie , need add "rss feed" button command bar. (view>toolbars>command bar )

1. right click on command bar (you have right click somewhere 'in between' icons on bar) , select customize>add or remove commands context menu.

2. left hand side list, find , select "rss feeds" (orange color) , click "add" button,

use move , move down buttons position rss feeds command on command bar. close save changes.

from on when visit web site has rss feed (syndications) see rss feed command bar button change grey orange. click on button display list of feeds on site , click selection.
