no matter what, windows 10 insider preview build 15048 not begin scan of folder, particularly concerning when try scan program files (x86). when switch screens inside windows defender app, stop scan if nothing ever started, no scan logs, no completion notification.

moved virus & malware

true, custom scan kind of broken.

no real-time ui progress updates. time elapsed doesn't change, files scanned neither.

and ... cancel button not canceling background scan (msmpengine.exe), reboot can stop scan.

and bogus (albeit same) number of files scanned.

looks quick , full scan have value now.
