before close account, take time tie loose ends, cancel subscriptions, , make sure don’t leave important behind—whether files in onedrive, stuff on xbox, emails in outlook.com, or more. when you’re sure you’re ready:

1. go close account , follow instructions sign in.
2. check page shows microsoft account want close, click next.
3. read list, , click checkboxes acknowledge you’ve read each item.
4. in select reason drop-down list, choose reason you're closing account.
5. click mark account closure.
