location (IGPS wrong!) - Microsoft Community

i'm using microsoft lumia 640lte phone windows 10 mobile installed (no, it's not economically possible, @ time, newer model) phone thinks i'm located in washington dc (?) i've cleared phone's location history , reset defaults can (can't set default location pc) (cortana & yup reset too) keeps giving me info (weather, news articles, web site based in area...) dc. she's running slow i'm 4 words ahead intyping sorry mistakes. visiting carrier(at&t) today see did on last visit (kept hitting buttons before finished telling him problem, found out locked phone own & can't change at&t without hassle) anyway...you think did? why can't fix though?? any/all kpg

this sounds related software issue, suggest perform soft reset. method not remove @ phone, , safe attempt in situation.

perform soft reset:
1. make sure phone turned on.
2. press , hold volume down , power button until phone vibrates , restarts.

take note should not touch device screen during process (not when 'slide down power off' prompt appears).

after performing soft reset, try check if issue persists.
