hi, connected phone car stereo using 3.5mm headphone jack didn't hear through car speakers, later connected headphones (that had worked phone previously) distorted audio on left side nothing on right, ideas on how can fix this? cheers

this either software or hardware issue. can check if there update available.

lumia windows 10:

• go settings > update & security > phone update and tap check updates.

lumia windows phone 8:

• go settings > phone update and tap check updates.

note: sure files prior update.

• you can perform a soft reset or hard reset.

you can bring phone place of purchase have checked other accessories isolate if phones jack defective or not.
