We can't install some updates because other updates are in - Microsoft Community


hi all

i've been having error in windows update running last slow ring build 14986.

i tried workarounds in [fix] can't install updates because other updates in progress to no avail.

have guys had problem in past?

you try opening file explorer - choose c drive or whatever drive windows on - choose windows - go down list under windows software distribution then to download.  delete in download file.

then reboot computer , try update again.

this has helped me numerous times when update wouldn't complete
