OneNote has suddenly stopped syncing on Windows Phone 8.1 - Error - Microsoft Community

something has gone wrong onenote on windows phone 8.1 couple of days believe starting 11 april 2017. on lumia 925 wp 8.1, of sudden onenote stopped syncing , shows error code 80004005 saying not permissions update file. verified sync microsoft account working fine without errors. logged onedrive , can browse see files. similar error when trying open ms office documents onedrive. 

i able sync onenote notebooks laptop though. cannot sync notebooks wp 8.1 lumia 925.

and not alone facing problem. seems wp 8.1 users facing same problem since 11 april 2017. ref: following threads:

@microsoft - please help! wish not end of wp 8.1 people suspecting , talking on tickets. not want reason think switching android! though have serious disappointments no upgrade wp 10, new outlook app not available on wp 8.1 though proudly there android! , other apps being pulled out wp 8.1 amazon , others, while there weren't enough practically apps in windows phone store.

you're welcome. we're glad it's working now. regarding lumia 925, although meets hardware requirements windows 10, microsoft didn't provide details decision not deliver upgrade selected phones. it's best raise through feedback hub app further assistance.
