some times when child receives "time's up!" message, "send request" button pops message: "something went wrong. unable send request. connected internet? <close>". occurring in scenarios computer connected internet, , playing streaming music on internet, alleging computer not connected internet weak.
i've read in other postings have delete contents of:
c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\parental controls
to business usual.
but, problem 1 administrator password computer gone. other parent, can manage screen time child online microsoft account, not have administrative access computer. so, 'my parent here' option doesn't apply, or means person administrator access computer has give password else.
why doesn't "time's up!" message have fourth choice 'reset family safety'? make happen whatever needs happen delete files in parental control directory, , force reload family safety website. way, adult change family safety settings normal way. being required physically come keyboard should situations internet connection lost.
however, changing them "the normal way" problem. if child send request, able "bump" time, say, add 30 minutes. but, if go change them 'normal way', without request child, have first make sure in pc section, not xbox section, figure out day of week is, increase child's time day of week, after child done computer day, log family safety , reset time (in pc section, not xbox section) day of week. so, normal family safety website should have same 'bump' buttons (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc) email child has.
all said, still think family safety controls windows advanced way beyond things amazon fire tablets family controls.
