Odd Microsoft Edge Typing Behavior in Text Boxes with Flashing Cursor - Microsoft Community

i updated computer windows 10 creator's update , i'm having problems typing within edge browser. search/webpage box works perfect, when type within webpage, typing cursor blinks yet deactivates text box between blinks.

for example: go google/bing search. click search box on webpage , typing cursor appears. can type when cursor there, when blinks off, textbox no longer activated (textbox greyed, fades background) , can't type. cursor blink on , can type quick millisecond before flickers off again. if stop typing continue blink on-off indefinitely, activating-deactivating text box.

now, i've tried disable edge extensions , still persists. not occur in other web browser or microsoft program. appreciate thoughts or help! didn't happen pre-creator's update. thank you!

update: noticed while highlighting text on webpage, briefly work , stop randomly, highlighted areas blinking between blue , grey @ same frequency typing cursor blinking. highlight not continue when blue, needing new highlight function.

we appreciate effort provide us details issue. in case, try perform clean boot.

when perform clean boot, start windows using minimal set of drivers , startup programs can eliminate software conflicts occur when install program or update on windows.
