signtool crashing since upgrade to 15002 and beyond - Microsoft Community


when trying sign executables using signtool.exe, program has started crash starting build 15002 , continues crash 15007 , 15014. here's exception:

unhandled exception @ 0x6da7e05a (iertutil.dll) in signtool.exe: fatal program exit requested.

let me know if need further info. guidance or workaround appreciated. thanks

signtool not part of windows, comes platform sdk or wdk, should post windows sdk forum:

that said, must install latest sdk (currently build 15003) available insiders (see fb hub - developer tools).
