performed following associated results:
1. clean boot
 result: had no affect on outcome - received same error message
2. restart in safe mode w/network
 result: when attempting perform update, via action center, screen closed , returned desktop when clicked update
3. troubleshooting
 result: whenever click on troubleshooting button, receive popup following detailed error message:
  package id: windowsupdatediagnostic
  path:  unknown
  error code: 0x800b0101
  source:  engine
  user:  wisdom/tony
  context: restricted

4. sfsc /scannow
 result: executed completion issues not being resolved.

still receiving same error when attempting update windows 10 insider preview

any other suggestions???
