I want Windows Phone compatible peripherals or I'm gone - Microsoft Community

i have been user of microsoft products while. have had windows phone since lumia 800, (followed 1020 , 950) original surface rt , surface book, band , purity hd headphones. although have been called microsoft fanboy not. windows laptop/computer makes more sense compatibility in science world , phone preference dating when nokia had best turn turn navigation. still see beauty in apple eco-system (if not practicality). not many headsets compatible windows phones , besides basic fitness watches there no 3rd party smart watches.

before nokia sold phone division microsoft worked monster develop purity range of earphones/headsets. have cheaper wired hd version. decent quality cables don’t last long. have looked have been unable locate compatible replacement. when contact microsoft barely know taking , try me contact other department. have 3rd party cable isn’t ideal situation. can’t answer calls or change volume. , warranty? that?

as band? in space of under year have had send off replacement/repair 5 times , again. poor strap design. plastic strap starts splitting around edges of watch meats strap after 2/3 months of careful wear. time stopped charging. same happened wife’s 1 few months back.

so, long story short. have functional headset , smartwatch compatible replacement parts may need ditch windows phone. i’m not going android! so, apple may winning 1 after all. still love sb though!

most third party headsets made apple products. problem is, if try use 1 of these made of devices not work correctly on other platforms.

as apple accessories not made industry standards. apple uses non standard mic control signaling , have , reason headset not work correctly.

if go microsoft store see several standard wired headsets work. headset mic made blackberry works fine.
