Need help to create a database to manage fantasy sports auction - Microsoft Community

this hobby project of mine...

i involved in ncaa march madness auction league.

here of requirements:

1. participant (total = n)

2. salary cap = 30

3. bidding order set (for 1 thru n, same order each round)

4. blind draw deck of cards (special meaning...not worried right now...face cards=silent bid, winner max bid...ties based awarded bid order current selection)

5. blind draw of teams (based on ncaa bracket seeding....east-1, west-16, etc...need table displays seed & team name)

6. bidding rules:

follow bidding order

does participant have available salary cap? if yes go next step, if no go next bidder

min bid = 0

follows order around table

if no bids launcher of team lands team 1

next bidder

7. goes on until teams awarded via auction

scoring system (only winning ncaa team per game/round awarded pts):

round 1 (play in games) = 0 pt

round 2 (3/16-17) = 3 pts

round 3 (3/18-19) = 6 pts

sweet 16 (3/23-24) = 9 pts

elite 8 (3/25-26) = 18 pts

final 4 (4/2) = 36 pts

championship (4/4) = 72 pts

then track owners/teams via excel long excel spreadsheet needs manual setup each year along final scores/winners entered.  take summary section spreadsheet , post personal web space results list participants see results.

i have table in ms word grid lists owner name, number of teams still alive, , teams won @ auction.  post personal web space well.  manually put , tracked after each game.

i of database possible it's easier produce output stored on personal web space.  , app set minimally allow auction happen via mobile app.

i started creating list of 351 ncaa d1 mens basketball teams upload list of teams.  have information, need team names.  have written out on paper there 67 games in ncaa tournament, , games 1-4 = rd 1, rd 2 = games 5 - 36, etc. (also have date/time/network/team1/team2/t1score/t2score/tourn_year), know of schedule east 1 vs east 16, playin1 vs playin8, winnerg4 vs winnerg5, etc.

i'm not real @ building databases, pretty versed @ large excel files....any appreciated.

looking forward willing me out.  working on projects , have other sports related tasks take on, first 1 take on outside of ms excel.

a forum works best when ask specific question. yours wide-ranging. we're not going build application you, can answer specific questions, such "see relationships window posting here: noticed there problem in area [x]. how solve many-to-many relation?"

regarding web , mobile requirements: using right tool? not access shines. access web app (awa) not work on mobile (not responsive design). may want rethink this.

isn't tournament kicking off day now? planning on using year? don't think so.
