Build 14986 - blue screens on my Surface - Microsoft Community


getting blue screens build when never did on previous builds.

no memory dumps "the dump file @ location: c:\windows\memory.dmp deleted because disk volume had less 25 gb free space."

i'll clear disk space.

8 times december 28th  - january 7th

event log says:

"the computer has rebooted bugcheck.  bugcheck was: 0x00000001 (0xffff96e96621cf59, 0x0000000000000000, 0x000000000000ffff, 0x0000000000000000). dump saved in: c:\windows\memory.dmp. report id: 0d335577-ee9c-4cb9-a757-ebe47eca48fa."

blue screen said apc_index_mismatch in win32kfull.sys

3 times january 8th

event log says:

"the computer has rebooted bugcheck.  bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffffe4c7bdeb556, 0xffffbb003ca94900, 0x0000000000000000). dump saved in: c:\windows\memory.dmp. report id: ad82f697-6b26-4305-946e-35927fdbafc5."

blue screen said system_service_exception in win32kbase.sys

have checked surface support site has lots of updates.
