Lost Contact and Inability to Send or receive Text Messages - Microsoft Community


i developed problem sunday when lumia 640 forced windows 10 upgrade turning off , on. 

now cannot access contacts privacy/contacts not allow access messaging apps can approved access contacts - no ability select "on" buttons greyed out. 

i lost of phone contacts in address book.  retained email addresses not phone numbers.  added several phone numbers thinking absence of might affecting messaging access.  - no such luck.  still not able access messaging.

i have done following: removed battery , did soft reset , signed google.  nothing.  not able use recovery tool on computer @ work installs not permitted.

afternoon received update windows 10 , has fixed issues.  seems me saw quite few people placing comments/queries on issue guess microsoft realized created nightmare.
