Microsoft Access has stopped working - Microsoft Community

hi everyone

so keep running issue i'm sure access notorious , keep getting these microsoft access has stopped working error messages. seems random @ times suspect has vba code associated classic user login form i've created. keep backup copies everyday compact & repair @ end of each week. question is, stuck dealing these errors until have final product? i'm doing internship company how can ensure these errors not continue afterwards? don't want coming future users. also, able post database here if want @ it?

this not normal, , sign either of corrupt database or damaged installation of access or office.  latter issue, can try repairing installation of access (or office).  former issue, have rid of existing corruption , examine development practices see if in them contributing likelihood of corruption.

to rid of existing corruption, suggest create new database , import old database new one.  may have set of "current database" options in new database match of old.  then, after importing, decompile database according instructions here:

then compact database, compile it, , compact again.  should rid of types of corruption.

next @ development practices things can contribute corruption. 

• if doing development work on database on network -- or worse yet, wan or internet connection -- stop doing that.  work on copy of database on local hard drive.
  
• if in habit of making code changes @ run time, stop doing that.  example, if testing code , error raised, don't modify code fix error while in debug mode.  collect information necessary fix code while you're in debug mode, stop process, close open objects don't intend work on, put form or report intend work on design view, , make code changes.
