Windows Update Failure - Microsoft Community

i having trouble installing windows 10 insider preview 15025. i'm on 15007. when click check updates, finds update, immediately, before starting download, fails error: "error 0x80070057" have tried every method of fixing windows update running windows update troubleshooter deleting softwaredistribution folder running dism & sfc. no avail. have tried every solution find aside starting fresh prefer not doing unless absolutely necessary since did that.

when run this, finds problem "fixes" it. windows update still fails work, though. 

erasing softwaredistribution folder

all instead of showing retry button, shows check updates again. still fails. 

dism & sfc

sfc /scannow

when run sfc, says, "windows resource protection did not find integrity violations."

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

when run dism above command, fails message, "the source files not found." gave me handy link explains how specify alternate source repair image windows update. problem there no 15007 images available repair from...

i have no idea how fix now. appreciated.

i on build 15042! pausing cybereason ransomfree solution problem!

microsoft releasing iso build 15025 soon.

download iso, open windows explorer , double-click setup.exe install build 15025.

it similar windows update in save your data , programs in update.

but please backup data important in case update crashes.
