Edge - Hmm, we can't reach this page (google-owned pages) - Microsoft Community


having problem edge. getting "hmm, can’t reach page." message, when trying access google or youtube in edge on surface pro. have no problems in chrome, or on desktop pc. tried several things suggested (local account, custom dns, dns service, registry change, etc). on windows 10 build 14986.rs_prerelease.16102-1928, don't know if it's issue that. ie 11 has same problem, , not sure that's still getting updates.

to resolve issue, suggest use new inprivate window , check if experience issue. open a new inprivate window, follow steps below:

  1. open edge.
  2. click on 3 dots icon on upper-right part of screen.
  3. click new inprivate window.

if issue persists, let's try reset internet connection settings , cache. reset internet connection, follow steps below:

  1. click start button.
  2. on search bar, type cmd, , right-click command prompt in list.
  3. select run administrator, , select yes.
  4. at command prompt, run following commands in listed order , check see if fixes connection problem:
    • type netsh winsock reset , press enter.
    • type netsh int ip reset , press enter.
    • type ipconfig /release , press enter.
    • type ipconfig /renew , press enter.
    • type ipconfig /flushdns , press enter.
