Sync in MS Edge Grayed Out - Can't Enable - Microsoft Community

i have followed several threads regarding issue have not found solution.  issue have windows 10 laptop sync options in ms edge grayed out , can't turn on.

this have done or confirmed.  logged microsoft on new machine outlook.com account.  shows personal information on original, working laptop.  devices - on new laptop show old laptop.  on old laptop, show new laptop.

based on other threads have found did not have syncpolicy key in settingsync of registry.  adding did not change result.  have confirmed have logged store outlook.com credentials well.

where see issue on working laptop go edge - settings - scroll down account , see outlook.com account.  on laptop not work when scroll down account see "account settings" not actual account, though when click on see outlook.com account.

both laptops connected office domain.  sign domain account on both.  microsoft stuff other office 365 done in outlook.com account.  same on both laptops.  imaged laptop , i'm wondering if there issue though i'm not sure where.

i admit i'm lost.

• have made changes or installed updates prior issue?
• if understood correctly, both computers connected same domain , have same account. however, 1 computer has sync issue.
• what build version of windows 10 using?
