Unable to install new builds - does not update after restart - Microsoft Community


the system dual-booting windows 10 1703 , insider builds, 1703 being default.

this has happened last several builds. boot insider build, windows update says there new build, preliminary stuff, downloads etc, says needs restart. after restart not install new build normal restart , goes default os. (1703). if intervene , choose other os goes desktop of previous build.

i don't think dual-boot used work. can't identify has changed in environment.

i able install iso, makes no difference when comes next update.

can make iso of updates. had installation problem , discovered bios pointed uefi "uefi os" instead "windows boot manager", after fixed reboot correctly update install.
