LibreOffice 5.2/5.3 install fails under WIN10 Insider 15015/25 - Microsoft Community


libreoffice 5.2/5.3 installation stops under win10 insider 15015/25 @ “registering fonts”.  this happens both x86 , x64 libreoffice versions.

at point install cannot closed or cancelled, ctrl-alt-del not start task manager , win10 shutdown or restart not run.   recourse power-cycle pc.  disturbing win10 can taken down application install.

i tested libreoffice 5.3.0 x64 bit on clean install of windows build 15025 , worked fine

using troubleshoot compatibility.

1. right-click libreoffice_5.3.0_win_x64.msi - choose troubleshoot compatibility
2. click [test program]
3. install libreoffice & should complete

(if not uninstall previous versions of libreoffice , delete install folder c:\program files\libreoffice 5)
4. click [next] update settings.
