Reinstall on new hardware - Microsoft Community


hey

i have 2-part question, regarding re-install of windows 10.

1) i'm part of insider program, honest i'm not sure if i've been upgraded regular version of windows 10. can't seem find anywhere says "preview version" in system proporties

2) i'm reinstall windows, i've gotten new motherboard, cpu , ram. i'm unsure how go it, or if can activate windows again "insider"? need digital key use, or use microsoft login after installing?

if had windows 7 or 8 retail key should able install windows 10 new motherboard. if installed after upgrade oem windows 7 or 8 not able activate after motherboard change.

if have retail windows 10 key able to activate after changing motherboard. windows 10 either insider preview or public release not free , changing motherboard requires new key.
