Remove the Internet Explorer icon from desktop - Microsoft Community


hi,

i ran app clean malware, fix registry errors, , optimize performance. strangely, internet explorer icon appearing on desktop unwanted. bizarre because haven't used ie in years , never on win10.

i see no way rid of it. i've logged in both admin , regular user , right-clicked icon in both accounts. properties doesn't appear on popup menu in either one. i've been settings , advanced tab--there no checkbox show ie on desktop. know how use regedit, don't see there change.

i give up. please me rid of this. suspect registry setting have no idea setting is.

out of curiosity, can give name of app radio talk show host recommended?
