Groove Music not running in the background - Microsoft Community

since latest app update on 2/11, groove music plays 5 minutes , pauses when app in background - includes when screen goes sleep , returns lock screen. have of permissions background playing set correctly (in both background apps , battery saver sections), still has problem. no other music playing app has issue (pandora, spotify, cast, etc.). there fix this? makes groove music useless , groove pass useless.

have lumia 950
os version: 1607
os build: 10.0.14393.693

you should able select option show , sound alarms , reminders when phone locked, follow these steps:

1. navigate settings through start men.
2. click system.
3. click notifications , actions.
4. scroll down until reach option "show , sound alarms , reminders when phone locked" , turn on.
5. try again playing music when phone has been locked
