Microsoft Display Dock HD-500, Is there a compatible car charger? - Microsoft Community


have designed system use in car depends on display dock.  i have found through trial , error can make display dock function when powered included ac-100u power adapter.  otherwise not maintain connection phone, , there output hdmi or connectivity peripherals.  the led indicator shows white upon plugging in charger, turns solid red, , doesn't change when plug phone in.  i have tried dock 3 different car chargers, 3a usb-c 1 monoprice, 2.1a version of similar, , 1a. tried couple of home chargers iphone charge block , htc quickcharge 3 charger, both usb-c cables.  what missing?  how can make work in car?

after more searching starting think dislay dock uses usb-pd profile charging.  can confirm this?  also required watt output?   found 1 supports profile belkin limited 27watts, enough?
