microsoft doesn't appear protect information such phone number when ordering , downloading software. received phone call within minutes of creating microsoft account , downloading microsoft office mac microsoft site. credit card number @ risk? ms site required 3rd party cookies may part of problem. luckily guessed scam , checked. 884-711-3211 tel num used. 

unless wasn't real microsoft site, coincidence. it's scam has been going on years. microsoft never makes unsolicited phone calls.
