Tabs in Edge - Microsoft Community

hi,

i have lot of tabs open in browsers. in edge used work in firefox example - when open browser of tabs there, wouldn't load. alny load after clicked on them. way browser fast , used little ram because loaded 2-4 tabs, not 50. now, after creators update, doesn't work anymore. loads of tabs @ same time causing terrible lag, 15 different yt videos playing, , forcing me click on every single on of them stop video/music playing. , when that, tabs loaded uses 12gb of memory. it's ridiculous. there option somewhere can work before? because right browser became unusable me. if had 10 tabs open, idea of edge loading of them makes me angry.

updating windows 10 creators update might have affected how your browser works. 

we suggest reset microsoft edge then. you can follow these steps: 

1) turn “off” device sync settings (settings > accounts > sync settings > sync settings). 

2) open file explorerand complete these steps: 

a. in c:\users\%username%\appdata\local\packages, selectand delete following folder: microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe(select “yes” on confirmation dialog follows.) 

b. in %localappdata%\microsoft\windows\settingsync\metastore, delete meta.edb,if exists. 

c. in %localappdata%\microsoft\windows\settingsync\remotemetastore\v1, delete meta.edb, if exists. 

3) restartyour pc (start > power > restart). 

4) turn “on” device sync settings (settings > accounts > sync settings > sync settings). 

5) search “powershell” using cortana. 

6) right-click “windows powershell” result, select run administrator. 

7) copythe following command, pasteit in powershell window , press enter to run it: 

get-appxpackage -allusers -name microsoft.microsoftedge | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -verbose} 

8. when command completes, restartyour pc (start > power > restart). 

please note though using this steps may result in data loss, including loss of favorites, settings, browser history, installed extensions, or other things maintained in browser. also, make sure windows version running 15063.138 or higher.
