Windows Insider Preview 16215 failed to boot - Microsoft Community


boot failure after auto-update insider preview build. fails to boot , take me trouble shoot options.

there tried every option such as, restore point, system reset [keeping files] , safe mode boot etc.

nothing working far. says option "unable it" kind of error.

now option have factory reset wiping data...which precious enough me.

can can preserve important data ? option revert older build.

boot public build install on usb stick. first screen of windows setup, use shift-f10 command prompt.

from there, can use diskpart shrink c: volume enough install windows unpartitioned space created. once windows installed, can rescue data main partition.

to prevent data loss, recommended not use insider builds daily use os. run public build that, , install insider separately own small partition.
