15055 - Failing to cast to a TV - Microsoft Community


late last year bought 43" lg uh620v  tv.  (about 15046/48) noticed availability of 'cast device' when right clicking on video file. tried degree of success standard definition video cast , play on tv hd played few seconds , stopped.

with 15055, tv device found when right clicking on file cancels (disappears) when tv selected.

is else seeing or have messed somewhere.

i tried on samsung tv , worked build 15055. @ first, not see it. then opened file explorer , has private network , turn on file sharing. after that, see tv, after right-clicking video file , choosing cast device.

now tv shows under bluetooth , other devices in settings, under devices , printers in control panel.

mine clean install of 15055, may have file sharing , private network on, seems enabled work me.

is tv plugged ethernet or wireless? ethernet should enable hd work better or connection more stable.
