Windows 10 issue with Edge browser and access to some websites. - Microsoft Community

yesterday, computer did large windows update, edge updated version 40.15063.0.0

this evening, began browsing, visited wikipedia, after few minutes browsing, site became inaccessible. subsequently found google search engine not available. 

after trying find out why couldn't access them on edge, tried chrome , both still available.

i restarted computer , same happened again, wikipedia , google search both available 5 minutes, both became inaccessible error: inet_e_resource_not_found.

i telling myself not microsoft "google hate thing". seem strange can access these sites few minutes before disabled in edge, whilst remain available in chrome.

i tried in edge "in-private" mode, both sites still inaccessible.

any clues?

(p.s, wasn't sure if 'network/internet' topic or "windows update" topic, went latter internet access seems fine.

as our initial troubleshooting step, suggest run system file checker tool see if issue has corrupted file.

get findings of scan.
