Issues with Windows Insider Preview 14971 - Microsoft Community


computer runs on windows 10 insider preview build 14971. few months after installing it, windows can't update anymore. if go settings app --> windows update, app crashes. tried using windows update troubleshooter, doesn't work in solving problem. windows build has expired, , displays windows boot manager message saying "a recent hardware or software change might have installed file signed incorrectly or damaged". file \windows\system32\winload.efi , status 0xc0000605. says can start windows if "press enter key display boot menu, press f8 advanced boot options, , select last known good." when press f8, takes me first error screen again. can't use computer @ all. should can use computer again normally?

your first problem not being proactive, , letting 14971 expire.  build old enough there's no excuse still being on it.  there have been isos several fast ring builds since then, , if having update problems should've downloaded , installed 1 of them.

now build has expired, you're left 1 option, clean install.
