ok, starting out pc no operating system (os) new pc. routine rather simple -
1 on pc go microsoft , download media creation tool
2 when using download, ask prepare use on pc , bootable usb
3 need @ least 4gb usb , current data deleted
4 on dead pc, need go bios change load order usb
5 entry bios can different per manufacturer. hp uses esc key on new start before hp icon gets shown
6 upon entry bios, boot order , change usb
7 insert usb , call new start
8 should see usb activity data gets transferred drive c
9 go default partitions choosing largest one
10 should asked remove usb
11 @ point return bios , reset boot order drive c. in actual fact, without usb may default drive c must changed time
12 during install part, asked if want updates. if select updates, final install should give latest public build
that should it. need bootable device , need bios since have no o/s. if insider, sign fast ring.
your activation w10 should stay on place since pc activated. swap out replacement hard drives on hp fleet without issue. time tell on one.
this proven routine if fry insider or pc dead o/s.
mel (the other one)
