Maps not working - Microsoft Community

i have lumia 521 (don't judge--i little burner phone!)

until month ago, map working properly, when enter address in main search function, gives me preview of exact location in search results, when click on preview see full map centers me on pin city name in middle of city address located, may or may not near address, , search not work in map app.

can tell me happening?  i see discussion of dissolution of relationship here.  is part of problem?  will fixed, or map function of phone obsolete?  if no map, phone far less useful.  i moving soon, , without useful map app, need new phone--a non-windows phone!
