hi,

thank posting on microsoft communities.

do receive error message when microsoft edge shuts down?

let try run system file checker (sfc scan) issue corrupt system files.

system file checker utility in microsoft windows allows users scan , restore corruptions in windows system files

perform system file check (sfc), , check if fixes issue.

follow steps:

  1. press windows key + x.
  2. click on command prompt (admin).
  3. in command prompt, type ‘sfc /scannow’ without quotes , hit enter.

also applies windows 10.

let know if issue resolved or if require further assistance

sfc /scannnow result not show problems. says there no problems or

please work through windows 10 install integrity checklist make sure install set correctly, optimized best performance, , needed repairs done. 

if steps cannot performed try whichever method works here access advanced startup options in windows 10  , startup settings safe mode networking may work better perform of steps, or advanced troubleshooting options use command prompt @ boot run repair commands in checklist.

if you’ll report go, may have other steps indicated.  complete them all.

remember upgrade and/or factory installs inferior installs tech enthusiasts never run in first place.  comparison, no 1 has done vastly superior  clean install windows 10 has had single complaint while upgrade , factory installs have problem posted here every few minutes.
