Cannot install Media Feature Pack on Build 16184 - Microsoft Community


i downloaded media feature pack n edition of windows 10 version 1703 (april 2017) x64. when run installer gives me following error.

windows update  could not installed because of error 2149842967

i traced error code message.

0x80240017 wu_e_not_applicable operation not performed because there no applicable updates.

will have wait new build of media feature pack before install succeed?

let's work on together. let's see if the windows update troubleshooter can diagnose issue. run these commands:

  1. press windows key + x and select command prompt (admin).  

  2. type dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press enter.  

  3. once it's done, type sfc /scannow and press enter.  

  4. restart computer.

then, try install media feature pack again.

please advise necessary.
