QR Code not printing with Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Community

we have added qr codes of our outbound documents. when print these documents ie 11 have no issues. qr code prints out on our documents, however, every single printer have tried, printing edge fails print qr code. these documents being printed our web site qr code generated.

why problem microsoft edge? how non-tech savvy consumer fix issue?

the qr codes drawn on web pages using svg markup, there known issues in edge when printing svg drawn content.. (technical).

use ie11 instead print qr labels. (it pre-installed on windows 10).... if ie11 not print codes there problem printer drivers installed on windows 10 machine. visit printer's manufacturers' web site download drivers printers on windows 10.

generally large companies encouraged use ie11 on windows 10 to access internal websites. there system administration tools microsoft make easy companies thousands of computers. requires specialist resources technical knowledge to implement.

for 1 off workstation configurations can create desktop shortcut ie11 on windows 10 machines.

right click on desktop (winkey+d display desktop) , select new>shortcut context menu.

in program location field select "browse" , find c:\program files (x86)\internet explorer\iexplore.exe

you should have

"c:\program files (x86)\internet explorer\iexplore.exe"

(including double quotes) in program file location.... click next button....

change name iexplore.exe meaningful.... eg. dispatch ocr codes.

save new desktop link.... new icon (the ie icon) appear on desktop.

double-click make sure have created correctly.... should open ie browser on windows 10 machine.... if not delete (right-click, select delete context menu) , start again....

if internal software written company, check them see if have upgrades software or if have workarounds windows 10 computers.
